Announcement
The workhop on phase field modelling of complex systems and materials will be held in Institut Polytechnique de Paris from june 22nd to june 24th.
It aims at bringing together the community of researchers participating in the development of phase field models for the description of complex systems and materials and researchers using it for various applications in order to share thoughts, experiences and methodological tools.
The phase field model, that has been introduced a few decades ago, has emerged as a powerful tool to describe complex free boundary problems and is now used for a wide range of applications (from biological systems to solid mechanics).
The methodological approaches are similar across communities. The aim of the workshop will be to bring these communities together in a human sized event to encourage informal exchanges and share experiences. To this purpose contributions from all communities about methodological aspects and application of the method are welcome.
